  • 1. Volunteer Responsibilities
    I agree to perform my volunteer duties to the best of my ability and to follow all Resiliency Village policies and instructions. I understand that volunteering is unpaid and does not create an employment relationship.

    2. Assumption of Risk and Release
    I understand that volunteering may involve risks, including physical injury or illness. I freely accept all risks and agree to release Resiliency Village, its staff, volunteers, and affiliates from any claims or liability for injury, damage, or loss that I may suffer related to my volunteer work, including claims under California law.

    3. Waiver of Right to Sue
    I agree not to sue or make any legal claims against Resiliency Village or its representatives for any injury, loss, or damages related to my volunteer activities.

    4. Confidentiality
    I understand that during volunteering I may learn confidential information about clients or the organization. I agree to keep all such information private and not disclose it to anyone outside the organization unless required by law. I further agree that I will not take, create, or share photographs, videos, audio recordings, written materials, or personal stories (including client narratives or anecdotes) related to Resiliency Village property, programs, residents, staff, volunteers, or affiliates without the prior written consent of an authorized representative of Resiliency Village.

    5. Emergency Medical Treatment
    In the event of an emergency, I authorize Resiliency Village to secure medical treatment for me if I am unable to do so myself. I understand I am responsible for any costs incurred.

    6. Media Release Consent
    I consent to being photographed, filmed, and/or recorded during my volunteer activities. I agree that Resiliency Village may use these images and recordings in its promotional materials, including but not limited to websites, social media, newsletters, emails, and printed materials, without compensation or further approval.

    7. Code of Conduct
    I agree to conduct myself in a safe, respectful, and professional manner while volunteering. I will follow all safety rules, policies, and instructions. I understand that unsafe, inappropriate, or unlawful behavior may result in termination of my volunteer privileges.

    8. Governing Law and Severability
    This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California. If any provision of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

    9. Acknowledgment
    By submitting this form electronically, I confirm that I have read this waiver, fully understand its terms, and agree to be bound by them. I understand that my electronic submission is the legal equivalent of my handwritten signature.
